Hello Friend!

Welcome to my blog, I'm so glad you decided to stop by! I like to call myself a Lifestyle Blogger, since I cover so much in my writing. However, I tend to focus mostly on street-fashion and beauty. On the main page you will find all my blog posts, I definitely don't take myself too seriously, so I try to keep all my posts lighthearted and funny. Hope you have a nice stay!

Kimono Obsession

Kimono Obsession

Another week done. Another weekend ready to begin.

I don’t know if everyone is feeling extra busy this spring, or if it’s just me, but my work and social calendar is completely packed full of things to do, places to go, and friends to see. I may only be a dog-mom, but when I see my friends who are mothers, I just think about them and how much respect they deserve. Cause when their life gets busy — they still have a tiny human to take care of every day. So, shout out to all the moms out there. I see you!

When life gets busy for me, the effort I put into my outfits starts to decline. I still make an effort — it’s just a little more on the basic side. I tend to revert back to basic tees and skinny jeans. When I go the more basic route, I have a habit of being more intentional about the accessories that I add to my look. For me, this is where chunky jewelry, mixing bold patterns, statement-jackets and vests, and kimonos come into play.

If you take away the kimono from this outfit, you will find a basic girl, wearing basic skinny jeans, in a semi-basic tank. The kimono is a simple yet effective way for me to quickly piece together an outfit and make it look like I didn’t oversleep, and actually put a lot of time in planning my outfit. Fingers crossed that my boss at my day job doesn’t read this — FYI boss, I never oversleep. Nope, not me.

I am low-key obsessed with kimonos. No matter how simple or complex an outfit can be, you can easily change up the whole aesthetic of your look with a kimono. They can be simple, they can be detailed, they can be sheer, or they can be a mix of textures. Regardless — kimonos are beautiful, and they are worth mixing in with your everyday ensemble.

Sorry for the quick post this week, I have a lot of adulting to do (aka I need to start doing my taxes)! You should find me on Instagram @HaleighBelle and drop me a comment telling me your favorite clothing or accessory piece that you enjoy adding to your look to jazz up your outfits. I would love to know your thoughts!
