Hello Friend!

Welcome to my blog, I'm so glad you decided to stop by! I like to call myself a Lifestyle Blogger, since I cover so much in my writing. However, I tend to focus mostly on street-fashion and beauty. On the main page you will find all my blog posts, I definitely don't take myself too seriously, so I try to keep all my posts lighthearted and funny. Hope you have a nice stay!

Happy [Stressful] Holidays

Happy [Stressful] Holidays

As the holidays are fast approaching, I’m finding my social calendar filling up with different variations of Christmas parties and events. And tbh, I’m stressed AF. Hold on, let me take a moment to catch my breath. 1, 2, 3... Sometimes with that stress I find myself, making “tacky” vintage Christmas sweaters my go-to outfits. My personal version of lazy, masked by being “overly festive.” Don’t get me wrong, I am low key obsessed with my Christmas sweaters. And I should probs do an entire post on my love and obsession over them, but for the time being, I will spare you. Instead, I want to share some casual, holiday party fashion that falls more on the classier end of the spectrum. So hang your “tacky” Christmas sweater back up in your closet, sit back, and relax (... and obviously keep reading).

As you can see, I found this gorgeous sheer lace top, bringing just the right amount of color and pop to my outfit, all while grounding it with neutral colors and simple accessories. The lace pattern was opaque enough that I was able to wear my black crop-top seen in this previous post. I kept all my accessories with this outfit light. I didn’t want to add a chunky necklace or other statement piece because the flutter sleeves, in combination with the vibrant red lace, added just enough movement and texture that any large jewelry piece would only make the top overly resplendent, and ultimately too distracting. Plus, I didn’t want to worry about snagging the gorgeous lace.

In my personal opinion, I believe everyone should own a good pair of black jeans or pants. They go with everything. Depending on the style, they can even dress up a simple, effortless outfit. Here, they act as the foundation for the entire outfit. These black jeans in particular are high waisted so they also add the element of elongating my body, which is always a plus. Cheers to me for trying to look taller than I actually am.

Also, let's all stop and take a moment to appreciate that stunning Kelly Wynne bag. Her name is Sorry Not Sorry Satchel, and it’s pictured here in Navy Eclipse. When I was in the Kelly Wynne boutique this babe of a bag beckoned from across the room and I went to it. It is stunning in pictures and even more stunning in person. This specific purse comes in four different colors, but I gotta say the Navy Eclipse color reminds me of all things magical. It probably has something to do with the metallic tones, but I’m just going to pretend this purse makes me one step closer to being a real life mermaid.
